Scheduled - Saturday, 18th of May 2024, Datacenter Network Team, together with the Palo Alto vendor, will make failovers on the Main Firewall. The change window is between 20:00 CET and 01:00 CET. We expect to have at least 2 times downtime ~10 seconds.
Change Details:
We are having issues with failover on the Main Firewall. As the issue was escalated to our vendor, they wanted to see it live, to better understand what it’s happening. Last time we had a failover on the Main Firewall, the impact was 10 seconds. We are not sure how many failovers will be needed for the testing, but we are assuming that will be at least 2.

Due to the fact that the Vendors representatives didn’t join us in the first scheduled EMG from 13th of May, we needed to postpone it for tomorrow.

Date: 18th of May 2024
Timeline: The change window will be between 20:00 CET and 01:00 CET.
Downtime: At least 2 times ~10 seconds.

Who is affected?

During the change window, there will be seconds of downtime for all Visma solutions hosted in Oslo Datacenter. We will take all necessary precautions to ensure that any impact is kept to a minimum.

What will you have to do?

Test your solutions after the change and inform the Datacenter Network team as soon as you see any problem (see contacts below).

Benefits of the change:

Failovers can happen at any time, and we are at the risk of happening with downtime. We need to solve this issue, and make sure that downtime won’t appear anymore in the future.
